Biography

Founded in 2011, the Japanese rock group My First Story has five members.

2011–2012: Formation and earlier days

Fromus's instrument crew, Sho, Nob, and Masack, invited Hiro and Teru in August 2011. They made their public debut in October 2011 at a music event hosted by Sanei Shobo Co., Ltd., the company behind the street fashion publication Book (Ohlie). They performed at a concert sponsored by the streetwear company Subciety in November 2011. (Sub-society).

Eight months after their creation, on April 4, 2012, they released My First Story, their first full-length album. This piece was the first thing that the record company Intact Records released (established by Core Trust, which operates Subciety). Maxilla, a video production company best known for working with Coldrain, Crossfaith, and SiM, directed the music video for the album's lead single, "Second Limit." They made an appearance at SUMMER SONIC 2012 on August 19, 2012.

2013–present: Japan Tour and new formation

The Story is My Life, the second album, was made available on February 6, 2013. They appeared at a number of music festivals, including Summer Sonic, Rock in Japan, and Punkspring.

The group's third album, Neurose, was released on October 29, 2014.

The lead guitarist of the group, Sho Tsuchiya, announced his break from the group on October 8, 2015, citing personal reasons.

They officially launched the "Storyteller" member's club on January 8, 2016.

Masack, the drummer, announced his departure on March 3, 2016. The former Shohei of the band Loth, Kid'z, has joined as a new drummer. The first live performance, "Highest Life Party, vol. 5", took place at Shibuya O-East on March 10, 2016, following Sho's hiatus and Masack's departure. They declared that they will release a full album this summer and go on a 47-prefecture one-man tour called the "We're Just Waiting 4 You Tour 2016" from June through August.

They appeared on Japan Jam Beach 2016 on May 4, 2016.

Their fourth album, Antithese, was released on June 29, 2016. They performed a one-man show in Nippon Budokan on November 18, 2016, and exclusively at that location, "We're Just Waiting 4 You" was released.

The group issued All Lead Tracks, their fifth album, on July 19, 2017.
